Standardization

The Fraunhofer institutes of the Business Area Digital Media are working in international standardization bodies for ISO like MPEG and JPEG, for 3GPP in the SA4 working group, for prEN 17650 in the committee CEN/TC 457, in the ISO technical committee ISO/TC 36, for IETF in the AVTCORE working group, and for DVB as well as ATSC.
We are also member of the Video Electronics Standards Association VESA and member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Industry SMPTE as well as in the International Association of MediaTech IAMT.
